Easter

This year for Easter, I wanted it to be more about Christ.  We had our fun this last week seeing the Easter Bunny, getting our face painted, getting balloons, and decorating eggs.  Now, today, I wanted to focus more on the true meaning of Easter.  I saw an idea from one of my friends on facebook about "Christ-Centered Easter Baskets".  I decided to try it out this year.  I attached a scripture to each gift in the Easter Basket.

Waiting to go downstairs to see if the Easter Bunny came.

He came!!  The last gift that they looked at was a note to go outside to find what they would clothe themselves with the Lord Jesus Christ.  They each found the egg with their name on it with an Easter tie or shirt to wear to church today inside.

Notice Brady's fixed teeth broke again.

Brady had fun reading all of the attached scriptures.

They each had their own picture of Christ in their basket to remember the true meaning of Easter.
 My handsome boys.

We had a fun, relaxing Easter morning.  I really felt the true meaning of Easter this year, and I am so thankful for the Savior and all that he has done for us.
Then we went over to Nani's house for dinner.  It was fun to see everyone!

Spring Break

Monday, March 25, 2013--Lied Discovery Children's Museum

Today we went to the new Lied Discovery Children's Museum.  The Museum moved locations, and made it even bigger.  The hardest part was keeping track of the boys (especially Clark).  I lost Clark about 5 times, and I lost Logan 1 time.  Good thing they had lots of staff that could help locate them.  Clark is just too quick, and he wants to do his own thing.  Next time I need Vance to come with us so that one of us could be with Clark.  The boys had fun!  We did not get to see everything, so we will have to come back to explore some more.  The favorite thing we did today was "The Water World"-to see how things move in water.  This was a fun start to Spring Break!

Today we went to Cactus Wren Park in the morning.  The boys wanted to play some catch.  Then they also had fun playing on the park stuff.  Logan is doing great pumping himself on the swing.  There were some girls there that hid some plastic eggs with treats in them around the playground.  The boys had fun finding the eggs.  Then that afternoon while I did some errands, the boys spent some time with Grandma and Grandpa Gibson.  Grandpa is teaching the boys to play Chess.  They love it!

Wednesday is always a very busy evening.  Brady and Logan have baseball practice at the same time at different parks, Brady has Cub Scouts, and I have Young Women's.  We meet Vance at his office, and he takes Logan and Clark and I take Brady.  Then after Brady's practice, we rush to get to Cub Scouts and Young Women's.  Brady is doing well in Baseball, but he says that he likes Soccer better because there is more running.  Logan like T-Ball, but I don't get to see his practices.

This random girl at the park kept asking me to take her picture, so when I told Logan to smile at the camera, she popped in the picture.

The Dawson's got here last night.  Today Stacey and I took the kids to the park, so Whitney and Chip could go to lunch for Chip's Birthday.  Then after dinner, Nani prepared an Easter Lesson that all the kids could participate in.  It is fun to be with cousins!

Today was another fun filled busy day!  We went to Ethel M Chocolate Factory.  One of Brady's Cub Scout tasks was to visit a Botanical Garden, so he decided that he wanted to visit the Cactus Garden.  Ethel M Chocolate Factory was a very busy place to be.  We had to stand in many lines to see the Easter Bunny, get our face painted, and get a balloon.  We also went through the line to get our free chocolate.  The kids had fun despite all the standing in line.  We got it all done, and Brady even was able to see all the Cacti in the Garden.  Then we went back to Vance's parents' house for dinner.  We had a Barbecue followed by Chip's Birthday Cake.  Then for Chip's birthday present, I decided to have Abby and Quinn spend the night at our house.  The boys love to have their cousins spend the night!

The Pool is officially open for business!

The kids woke up early, and played at our house all morning.  Then we went over to Vance's parents' house to go for a swim after lunch.  The pool was a little chili (about 76 degrees), but the spa was heated.  After the swim, the kids were tired out so they wanted to watched "Wreck It Ralph".  Then we decorated Easter Eggs, made bunny rolls, sheep, bunnies out of pretzels, and yogurt covered strawberries.  Thanks to pinterest, Nani finds such fun activities to do for the holidays.
