More Baseball

Today Grandma and Grandpa Gibson, Nani and Grandpa Skidmore, and Vance's Grandparents, Tutu and Papasan came to the games.  Logan's game was at 5:15, and Brady's game was at 6:30.  It was a fun night of Baseball.

Baseball

Today was Brady's first game of the season.  It was Logan's second game of the season.  The Baseball season was supposed to start on 4/8/13, but both games were cancelled due to rain.  Brady was pretty bummed.  He was so excited for the games.  The next week Brady had a game on 4/15/13, and it was cancelled due to extreme winds.  Logan's game was on Wednesday, 4/17/13, and he was able to play his first game of the season.  They both had their games today at the same time, but at least it was at the same ball park so that we could go back and forth between fields.  They both did very well today.  All the games are on Monday night, so for the next month we will be having Family Home Evening at the Ballpark.  It was fun to watch them play!

His Two Front Teeth

Today Brady had a follow-up appointment to see how his teeth were holding up.  Well, it has been a Rocky Road regarding his teeth!  After he had his teeth fixed on 12/18/12, they were fine during the first month.  Then he had a follow-up appointment in January, and everything looked good.  A week after that follow-up appointment, one of the fillings came off.  Brady said that it was because he bumped into Clark.  I think he was horsing around!  Anyway, we paid to get that tooth fixed again the next week.  Then a couple days later, I noticed the other tooth came off.  So, we got that one fixed.  Then about a week later, they both ended up falling out again.  I decided to just wait for this appointment in April to discuss it with the dentist about why this keeps happening.  At first, I thought this kept happening because Brady was playing too rough, but the last couple of times they came out, he was not doing anything to cause it.  I am just tired of throwing my money away.  Well, today was the day to see what to do about those teeth.  After discussing my frustrations with the dentist, he offered to fix them free of charge.  He didn't know why this kept happening, but he did not want Brady to be self-conscious about his teeth as he gets older.  The dentist can't permanently fix his teeth until he is a teenager.  Hopefully, this fix stays until then.

Busy Saturday

The boys had their Baseball Picture Day today!  It was so crazy busy at the park!  The Henderson Parks and Recreation League picks one day to get all the teams pictures.  There were only six team members from Logan's team that showed up, so his team decided to pick another day to do pictures and get there own photographer.  Brady did get his pictures done, but we had to wait a long time!

While I went on a Hike with Stacey, Kiley, and Leon, Vance had some father/son time with the boys.  He helped Brady finish painting his birdhouse which was his cub scout project.  They also went swimming.  We all had a fun day!

Fun Day

Today the boys had a fun play date!  After I picked Logan up from school, I picked up his friend Brayden.  I was already watching Charlie today.  The boys had fun running through the sprinklers with their new Ninja Turtle Sprinkler.  Then they played superheros with their cool capes.
That evening I made popcorn, and we watched Goonies.  They really enjoyed the movie.

General Conference

Usually I print out General Conference Packets with different activities for the boys to do while we watch Conference.  Well, this year I forgot to print out the packets.  Yesterday they were okay during the sessions, but they could do better.  I felt like I couldn't hear the speakers very well.  I was looking for any idea that would keep the boys interested in listening to conference.  I saw this idea on facebook from one of my friends.  I had six bowls filled with Legos.  Each bowl had a word to listen for on them, such as Prayer, Scriptures, Temples, Love, Jesus Christ, and Family.  It worked well!  We had a great Sunday morning starting out with Star Wars Pancakes, and then listening to Conference.  The boys listened very well.  Every time they heard a word, they would pick a Lego from that bowl.  Pretty soon they had enough Legos to build something.  I loved it because I could hear the speakers and concentrate on what they were saying, and the boys loved it because they had an activity that also helped them listen to the speakers.  In the afternoon session, we used the smaller Legos because we ran out of some Legos in certain bowl in the morning session.  It also gave them more options on what they could build.  This idea is definitely a keeper!  We'll have to try it again next time!  I love to hear from the General Authorities!  It was a great Conference!

My Superheros

I am so thankful for a mom who is willing to help me with my sewing projects.  Today mom came over to help me discover what was wrong with my sewing machine.  I thought that maybe I didn't know how to work it because I could never get the bobbin to work, but instead mom told me that my sewing machine was broken.  Luckily she brought her sewing machine, and she finished these Superhero capes for me.  I have had these capes to finish since Quinn's Birthday Party (Feb. 2012).  The boys love them!

Back to School

The boys are back to their normal school schedule, and Clark is enjoying his Easter Basket.
