Halloween Day

We started out the day with Logan's Kindergarten Halloween Party.  Clark and I were in charge of ordering the pizza and bringing it to Logan's class.  We stayed for the party to help out.  We missed Logan's Kindergarten Parade, but we were there for the rest of his party.  They danced and ate and made Halloween crafts.  Ha had a lot of fun.  His friend Seth lives in our neighborhood, and I take him home sometimes.

Then we had lunch, and met Logan's friend Brayden at the park.  They played for a little bit until it was time to take Logan to his Doctors Appointment.  I scheduled him for a flu shot!  What a mean mom to schedule that on Halloween.  I didn't realize it was Halloween.  I just knew that Wednesday was a good day for me to do this.  He did great at the doctors anyway, and we were in and out of there so fast that he did not have time to think about it!

Now for the real fun!  Vance had to work late, so I left candy in a bowl on my front porch while I took the boys Trick-or-Treating around our neighborhood.  We met up with our friends, the Seamans.

Then we went over to Nani and Grandpa's house because they wanted to see the boys costumes.  Stacey dressed up at school as a Toddler and Tiara (all the teachers were supposed to be Toddlers and Tiaras).  Tonight she said that she was Hermoine when she went to the Ball (to go along with Brady's Harry Potter Theme.  Stacey and I took the boys Trick-or-Treating around Nani and Grandpa's neighborhood.  Vance met us over there after he was finished with his work.

Clark's Birthday

The only request Clark had for his birthday was that he wanted cupcakes.  Then when we were going through the winter clothes, Clark found this Mickey Mouse shirt and he loved it so much that he would not take it off!  That's when I decided to make Mickey Mouse Cupcakes!  It was so easy, and he loved it!  We had the Skidmore's over for dinner.  We had Hawaiian Haystacks for dinner!  After dinner, Clark fell asleep so we waited awhile to have the cake and open presents.  I had to wake him up because we didn't want him to be up all night.  I tried to get him to take a nap earlier, but he was a little too wired!  We finally sang to him and ate cake and ice cream.  I can't believe he's Three!  Then we opened presents.  He got a remote control Ninja Turtle, a remote control Car, some clothes, and some books.  He had a fun birthday!

Harvest Festival

I had to make cupcakes for the cake walk, and my ghost cupcakes turned out so cute!  They were a big hit at the cake walk too!

The boys had so much fun, but I was not around to see them play the games.  Vance took the boys around while I was stuck judging the chili.  The wives of the Elders Quorum Presidency were asked to be the judges.  We had to judge 13 Chili's!  It was harder than I thought it was going to be!  The Bishop was the winner!  The last part of the night was the Trunk-Or-Treat.  I took the boys around while Vance passed out candy.

Ward Party

Connie's was decorated so cute for Halloween!  Tonight we went to Chad and Connie's Ward Halloween Party.  Brady had soccer practice, so I dropped him off and then went over to Connie's house so that I could get the other boys ready for the party.  We dropped of Brady's costume with Vance so that he could get Brady ready when he picked him up from soccer practice.  I didn't get any pictures of the boys, but we will definitely take pictures on Halloween.  Brady was Harry Potter, Logan was Iron Man, and Clark was Spiderman.  Connie was a Witch, and she had to serve her Witches Brew(Root Beer)  at the party.  We had Chili Dogs for dinner, and then the boys had fun going around playing all the games.

School Trunk-or-Treat

Logan was Iron Man, Clark was Spiderman, and Brady was Harry Potter.  After I painted Clark's face, he was so tired that he fell asleep before we even arrived at the school.  Clark was much easier to handle because he was asleep.  We had hot dogs and pizza for dinner.  Then the boys played all the games, went Trunk-Or-Treating, and danced.  It was a fun night!

Brady Learned to Ride his Bike

Brady could not let Logan know how to ride a bike when he couldn't, so he was determined to figure it out.  Look at his concentration!
Logan was showing off, and he is doing great!

YEAH--Brady finally got it!!!  This picture is not very good, but he really is doing great!  I am so glad that my boys are doing great and that they love to ride.  Brady said, "Now Logan and I are really twins because we can both ride bikes!"  Silly boy, but I really am proud of him!  Maybe for his birthday, we'll get him a bigger bike.

Halloween Fun

For Family Home Evening tonight we went to Nani and Grandpa Skidmore's house for some fun Halloween activities.  The boys helped make dinner.  We had a Jack-O'-Lantern Quesadilla, Monster Mouth Apples, Mummy Hot Dogs, and spider web guacamole, ketchup, and mustard.  Then we decorated mugs and plates and pumpkins.  We had owl cupcakes for dessert.  It was a fun night!

More Soccer Saturdays

Game #3   9/22/2012
Brady's team played Galaxy, and they won.  Logan's team played the Knights.  They are both doing well and having fun.  I didn't take any pictures at these games.  I haven't been very good at taking pictures.  If Vance doesn't remember than it doesn't happen because I am too focused  on making sure I know where my kids are.  It is hard for them to sit still!

Game #4     9/29/2012
Avengers vs. Firebirds

Logan does well when he wants to.  Sometimes he is totally unfocused and does not pay attention to the ball.

Brady's team played Fury, and they lost 6-7.  This team was the most competition they have had, and their first loss.  We did not get any pictures of Brady because we were so into watching the game.  They had lots of chances for goals, but they weren't going in.  It was disappointing, but Brady had fun anyway.

Game #5    10/6/2012
Sidekicks vs. Lions

Today Brady and Logan's games were at the same time.  We watched the morning session of conference, then I took Logan to his game and Vance took Brady to his game.  That's why I didn't get any pictures of Logan's game.  Brady's team won, and Vance said that Brady did very well.  Logan's team won their game, and Logan did well also.  It was fun to watch when he actually plays.  Then we made it home for the second session of conference.  I was sad to miss Brady's game, but I loved that the times cooperated so that we could watch both sessions of conference.  I loved the morning session where they announced the Tucson temple and that there will be younger missionaries.  I loved listening to all of the talks.  I had Brady and Logan work on some sheets that helped them pay attention better.  They had to color the prophet and apostles ties as they spoke, and Brady had to take some notes on what he heard them say.  This was good practice for him.  Then we went swimming in Vance's parents pool probably for the last time this year.  The weather is still really nice!  It's CRAZY that we could swim in October!  Only in Vegas!  Then Vance went to the Priesthood Session.  It was a busy day, but we loved every minute of it!

Game #6   10/13/2012

Again I forgot the camera!  Logan's game was at 2:15 pm, and they played  the Outlaws.  They won--no thanks to Logan!  He had a hard time paying attention, and getting into the game.  Grandma and Grandpa Gibson came to the game.  It was good to see them!  Vance and Brady went to the UNLV Football game.  They had fun, but it was a disappointing loss for UNLV.  Brady's game was at 5:45 pm.  They played the Tigers, and they won!  Stacey made it to Brady's game.  It was a fun, but busy day!
