More cousins came to visit

Lynleigh, Cameron, and Avry came to visit.  The boys have been having fun hanging out with them.  We have been to the splash park, swimming, and just hanging out.  Today we had family home evening with everyone.  We decorated cookies for the activity and treat.  It is fun to see them!

First Day of School

New School Shoes

Brady--2nd Grade--Ms. Nash

Logan--Kindergarten

His Kindergarten teacher is Mrs. Klainer.  Logan goes in the morning, and he has about 34 kids in is class.  His teacher told me that he had a hard time finding his seat because she let the kids choose where they wanted to sit, but once he sat down he did fine.

Summer Project

We finished our summer project today just in time for school to start!  I had the boys do summer journals, so that they will be able to remember what they did.  We did a lot of fun things this summer.  Logan decided that he did not like journals anymore, but I thought they turned out cute.  It is especially fun to read them and see their pictures.  Clark wanted to be like the big kids, and he had fun coloring.  It was a lot of work, but it's worth it!

Boulder City Train Ride

We rode the Boulder City Train with some friends.  It tired Clark out!  We went to the Veterans Memorial Park Splash pad because we needed a place to cool off.  We also brought a picnic lunch.  Clark slept through most of the park time, but he woke up at the end to have a little lunch.  We were able to enjoy some more summer fun before school starts.

Lied Discovery Children's Museum

The boys loved this place, and I loved that they were so entertained!  I ended up getting an annual pass because I new they would want to come back, and it is cheaper that way!  There were so many things to do!

They had a class for the younger kids on how to mix colors.

They had to pull their own weight.

Gilcrease Orchard

We went on a tour around the orchard.  We saw how they make apple cider.  They took us on a Hayride so that we could pick our own fruits and vegetables.  It was such a hot day, but we had a fun time.  Brady was excited to pick some apples, but they were mushy and not very good, so he was a little disappointed.  At least he could try some apple cider.  The boys favorite was the apple cider!  They picked some Pears and Zuchinni.

Visit with the Williams'

Friday, August 10, 2012--We went over to Grandma and Grandpa Gibson's house to play all morning, and then we invited them over to Vance's parents' house for a barbecue and swim.  They did some swimming races as part of the Olympics.  They also did some jumps and dives for the other swimming events.

Saturday, August 11, 2012--The kids were so inspired by the Olympics that we wanted to do our own Olympics.   They each had a flag from their country.  Brady was from "Brady City", Tessa was from "Tessaville", Logan was from "Logan Land", Bree was from "Bree Town", and Clark was from "Clark Country".   Today's events were triple jump on the Trampoline, Shot put, Discus, Javelin Throw, and Gymnastics.

Clark loved listening to music on Grandma's iphone.

Sunday, August 12, 2012--After church we went to Grandma and Grandpa's house for dinner.  Darin flew in to Las Vegas for a conference for work, so we got to visit with him today.  We had a nice Sunday evening hanging out with everyone.

Monday, August 13, 2012--Today's events were Running, Baseball, Soccer, Basketball, and Weight Lifting.  Grandma and Grandpa took us over to the church so that we had enough room for these events.  The kids had so much fun!  Grandma organized the flags, medals, and certificates for each event.  Grandpa ran all the events for the kids.  Thanks to Grandma and Grandpa for all the work.  The Williams left to go home after the Olympics.  We had so much fun with them!
