Photo Shoot at Hoover Dam

We went to Hoover Dam the day after Thanksgiving because Vance's Grandma Skidmore and Aunt Sally wanted to see the new bypass bridge.  We thought everyone would be shopping on black friday, so we thought it would be a good day to go.  We were wrong!  It should have only taken us 30 minutes, but instead it took us 2 hours to get through security.  The bypass bridge was clear, but to get to the place where you can walk it, was packed.  I guess everyone decided to go to Hoover Dam.
It was cool to see the Dam and the Bridge.  The Bridge was very impressive.  I bought the Boys these new shirts and jackets.  Brady saw his shirt and said, "Thanks, Mom!  I love this shirt, but why did you get me a life jacket!"  He's too funny!  He also thought it was cool that they learned how to build a dam like beavers do.  You never know what that kid will come up with next!
It is always interesting taking pictures with kids!  I think we'll have to do some photo shop!  Thank goodness for  technology!  Notice Logan's cool cheesy smile!

Thanksgiving

We started the day off by going to the park with Burke, Germania, and Junior(Germania's brother).  Brady really got into football.

Connie always goes all out for Thankgiving Dinner.  We even had appetizer's this year.  This Cheeseball Turkey was too cute that no one wanted to dig into it for the longest time, but it was too good to pass up.  Thanks Connie and all the helpers for a wonderful dinner.  Vance fried a Turkey and made his Blueberry Pie.  Everything was so good!
 Grandma Skidmore and Aunt Sally
Clark fell asleep after a great dinner!  His favorite part was the mashed potatoes.
We are all Thankful for family, friends, and our Savior, Jesus Christ.  There are so many things to be greatful for, and those were the top three.
Lynleigh, Jason, and Cameron came later in the evening to visit.  The boys loved to play with Cameron.
The boys also loved hanging out with Junior (Germania's brother).  Their nick name for him is "High Five".  It was very funny to hear them talk to him.

Soccer Trophy

The Fall Soccer season is now over.  He had his soccer party last night, and he got his trophy.  Brady loves his trophy!  He would carry it around everywhere last night to look for the perfect spot to display it.  He finally found a spot in his room!

First Steps

Clark is getting braver everyday!  He gets this big smile on his face, and then he takes off with about 4-5 steps.  He gets so excited, and starts moving too fast that he loses his balance.  He is just so proud of himself!

Smores

Brady and Logan have been wanting to have a fire and make smores.  They kept asking, "When can we do fire?"  So we invited Nani and Grandpa Skidmore over for dinner and Family Home Evening Monday night, and we had smores for the treat.  It was a fun time, and the boys loved it!

Patty's Birthday Celebrations

On Thursday, November 4th, my actual birthday, we did normal everyday stuff.  That night Vance's parents took us all out to eat.  We went to a restaurant called "BJ's".  It was very good!  Then on Friday, Stacey offered to watch the boys, so Vance and I could go to the Temple.  It was so nice to enjoy time by ourselves.  We also went out to dinner at "Angelina's" after the Temple.  Then on Sunday, Connie made me my Birthday dinner and cake.  We had Lasagna, Salad, and Breadsticks.  The cake was a German Chocolate Cake.  The boys helped decorate it!  It is so fun to spend time with family, and remember how blessed we are.  I had a great day!

HALLOWEEN FUN!!

After Halloween last year, Brady talked about all of us being Star Wars Characters!  Brady and Logan wanted to be Jedi Knights, Brady wanted Clark to be Yoda, Dad to be Darth Vader, and of course he wanted me to be Princess Leia.  Then he changed his mind, as most kids do!  He wanted to do a Batman theme.  So there you have it...Brady and Logan are Batman and Robin, and Clark is Yoda, i am Princess Leia, and Vance is Obi Wan Kenobi.  We went all over looking for Batman and Robin costumes, and we finally found them!

Brady had his Kindergarten Class Halloween Party!  I found someone to watch Logan and Clark so that I could help out at his party.  The kids paraded around the school.  The Kindergarten classes were the only ones that could dress up during class time.  Brady's class sang some songs they learned, they had a buffet, and they had 4 different centers.  The centers were 1. Decorate pumkin and ghost cookies, 2. Make spiders out of oreos and licorice, 3. Decorate treat bags, and 4. Play pin the nose on the pumkin, and make lollipop ghosts.  The kids had a great time!

Logan had his Pre-School Halloween Party today, and he was the class leader.
Friday, October 29, 2010  Stacey's Ward Trunk-or-Treat

We went to Stacey's Ward Trunk-or-Treat.  We had hot dogs and chili for dinner.  Stacey decorated her trunk, and Vance passed out the candy while Stacey and I took the boys trunk-or-treating.  Two wards were combined in this activity, and everyone went all out in decorating their trunks.  It was a fun time!!

On Sunday, October 31, 2010, we had dinner over at Nani and Grandpa's house.  The boys insisted on wearing their costumes, and we just visited with family and passed out candy.  It was a fun Halloween, but I'm glad it's over!
