Gibson Family Reunion Part Three

AUGUST 30, 2008

Saturday morning, we woke up with a great breakfast by Vince. He made his famous eggs, bacon, and orange rolls. Then we had fun just hanging out at Angie's house. Brady had fun playing with his cousins Anna and Brenna. The older cousins played the Wii and board games. The younger cousins colored and played with the toys. Then it was time to get ready for the Family picture. What's a family reunion without pictures? Anyway, Angie and Darin live in a beautiful area, and they picked out the perfect spot for a picture. After the pictures, everyone went to Raspberry Run Park to play while Brett, Kristi-Lynn, Angie, Vance and I went back to the house to get dinner ready. We had Hawaiian Haystacks. Then after dinner we had devotionals by Vince and Vance, and then a talent show by the kids. Brady wanted to sing "Book of Mormon Stories" while Riley played it on the piano. Brady was a little shy, so I went up with him to help and you could hardly hear him. Maybe he'll be braver next year. Logan's talent was clapping, but of course he doesn't do it when we want him to. Some of the other talents were Brenna doing a somer salt, Eve sang "I Love to see the Temple", Anna sang her ABC's, Preston did some magic tricks, Wyatt did some math in his head, and Tessa and Gavin sang the Bubbles song. We have talented kids in our family. They all did great.
On Sunday, we went to sacrament meeting, and then headed home. We made it as far as St George, UT, and stayed the night with Sus and Will. Then made it the rest of the way on Monday. Brady did not get car sick on the way home. He rode most of the way with the Dixons. He loved hanging out with his cousins. It was fun to see everyone, and Angie was so organized that it all went smoothly. Thanks for opening up your house to us Ang. It was fun to see everyone.
