Brady's Soccer Tournament

Brady's league (U7) didn't have a tournament, but the U8 division invited anyone in the U7 division to play in their tournament.  Brady's coaches thought it would be a good experience and good practice for them.  The tournament happened to be on Saturday and Sunday (May 19th and 20th).  I wanted Brady to support his team, but we had a choice to make.  Most of Brady's team is LDS, and I was worried that they wouldn't have enough players.  Then I heard that one of Brady's teammates, Aspen, told her mom, "I don't think I should play on Sunday, Mom!"  Her mom was shocked, but was proud of her for making that decision.  That was such a testimony to me that we should not play soccer on Sunday.  I knew that all along, but I didn't want to let the team down.  Brady kept saying how much he wanted to play on Sunday, but he understood why we don't play soccer on Sunday.  It all worked out, and Brady had so much fun playing in the tournament on Saturday.  

Game #1     Sidekicks versus Galaxy   9:30am

The boys did well against this team, but they were tough.  We lost 1-4.

Game #2      Sidekicks versus Firerunners     3:30pm

We almost tied, but they scored a goal at the last second.  We lost 1-2.

This was fun for the boys, and they had a great attitude!  I found out that they ended up winning on Sunday 6-3.  Brady had a great team this year, and he is looking forward for the fall season!



Baby Shower

It was so fun to see Calvin and Karissa Bagley.  This baby shower was a family event, and the boys had fun playing with the other kids.  We have known Karissa since before Vance and I were married, and we are so happy for her to have her first child.  She is due in July, and they already have a name picked out.  The baby's name will be Christian.  Such a cute name!

Logan's Pre-School Graduation

Logan did so well in his program.  He had such a good time this year in Pre-School.  He made some good friends in Pre-School--Steven, Parker, Sage, Kolton, Ty, and Edward.  Now he's ready for Kindergarten!

Mother's Day

I had a great Mother's Day!  I woke up to the smell of waffles.  Vance made me waffles with chocolate dipped strawberries.  Then they gave me all the gifts.  Brady made me a coupon book!  He also wrote the"Top 10 Reasons Why I Love My Mom":

It is fun when they are able to do more things!  He is a very sweet boy.  Logan also made me something at Pre-School.  Clark was excited to bring me breakfast, and he wanted to eat with me.  Vance got me Roses and my favorite candy, Almond Joy!  I had a great day, and I am lucky to have three sweet boys and a wonderful husband!

Logan had a fun season.  Logan is a pretty laid back soccer player.  I wanted him to be more aggressive and go after the ball more, but he just does what he wants.  I just have to remember that he's little.  He'll get better with time.  At least he had fun playing.  He was mostly proud of his trophy.  Grandma and Grandpa Gibson were at the last game.  Nani and Grandpa Skidmore made it to most of the games.  Logan loves it when his grandparents come to his games.  Thanks for the support.

I didn't get any pictures of his last soccer game, and he even scored his first and only goal of the season.  The Sidekicks were undefeated this season.  Brady improved a lot this season!  He loves soccer!
